Club
captain, Anthony Johnson, has decided to leave the Rams for
ventures new and has signed for UniBond North side, Clitheroe
Football Club.
Whilst `gutted` to be leaving
Ramsbottom, Johno admitted that it was a chance he could not
down.
He said : "I've loved my time at Rammy but
the opportunity was too good to turn down. I wish
the club and all the fans the best for the future and I hope to
get down to the ground soon."
Since his two and a-half years
at the Riverside, Johnson was unlucky with injuries which
hindered his first full season with the club but the 2007-08
season has been a profitable one as he notched 13 league and cup
goals for the Rams easily making him the clubs top scorer.
